Emmanuel Edoja Achor is a Professor of Science Education and a Physics Teacher at the Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria. Born 3rd April, 1961 in Odolu in Ibaji LGA of Kogi State, Professor Emmanuel Achor is married to Mrs Aladi Achor with four children. He is currently the   Head, Department of Curriculum and Teaching in the Faculty of Education.

He joined the University in 2007 from Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa as a Chief lecturer and where he worked for 18 years as Physics teacher. While in the College he served as Head of Department of Physics, Dean School of Sciences and Pioneer Principal, Demonstration Secondary School of the College for 4 years. In the College, he was also Chairman Staff Multipurpose Club called Sigma Trust Fund (STF) for many tenures and Secretary College Bookshop/Consultancy Management. Presently he is a full member, Science Teachers Association of Nigeria since August 1999 and won Best STAN Conference Paper Award for two consecutive years (2014 & 2015).

Professor Achor has been the Editor in Chief NASHER Journal now called ICSHER Journal (International Centre for Science, Humanities and Education Research Journal) from 2003 to date as well as editorial member, Journal of Research in Curriculum and Instruction, a journal being hosted by the Department of Curriculum and Teaching of the Benue State University, Makurdi. He is also editorial member, Electronic Journal of Science Education (EJSE), a peer reviewed journal hosted by Texas Christian University, Texas in USA.

At the local level, he is consulting editor School of Science Journal, College of Education, Katsina Ala, Journal of science & Vocational Education, Federal College of Education, Okene Kogi State, Women in Colleges of Education, College of Education Oju Benue state and in North Central Region. He is a partner and a trustee of Global College, Ojokodo Ankpa in Kogi State and at present a member, Implementation Committee of Evergreen University, Okpo in Kogi State.

He is a National Director of Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International Nigeria in charge of Benue West Zone B since 2011. Professor Achor has a total of 116 publications.
