Okpanachi, Shaibu Stephen, Ph.D. is a chief Lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations with the Federal College of Education, Okene, Kogi State. He attended Basawa Teachers’ College, Zaria before proceeding to University of Jos, Jos in 1985 where he obtained the Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Education. He also attended the University of Ibadan, Ibadan where he obtained a Master of Education Degree (M.Ed.) in History and Policy of Education and the Doctor of Philosophy Degree specializing in History and Policy of Education from University of Ilorin, Ilorin.

He has occupied several positions rising from departmental secretary, school and departmental examination officer, coordinator Teaching Practice, Head of Department(s), Dean of School. He was Editor-in-chief of Confluence Journal of Education (CJE) and external moderator to many Colleges of Education in both teaching practice, and education courses, and items moderation with JAMB. He has quite a number of articles in reputable local and international journals, some textbooks and chapter contributions. He has equally edited some textbooks. He is currently the Dean, School of Adult, Non-Formal and Special Education, Federal College of Education, Okene. He is happily married and is blessed with five children.
